09/11 Lake Geneva Triathlon
Fontana WI
The 20th annual Lake Geneva Triathlon Series will be held in the small lakeside town of Fontana WI which lies on the western shore of Geneva Lake. Geneva Lake is 9 miles long 170 feet deep spring fed and clear. The scenic views and unbelievable hills provide the ingredients for a very memorable race. For 2009 the Lake Geneva Triathlon Series consists of a Half Extreme Olympic Sprint and SuperSprint distances. All events are open to individuals and 2 or 3 person relay teams. The course starts with a swim at Fontana Beach (Reid Park) in Fontana. It is followed by an out and back bike course on rural roads and culminates with a challenging run route that includes the infamous \"Killer Hill\" and beautiful tree lined streets.

Library Park - Lake Geneva
Walworth County's 4th Annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk to be held Saturday September 18th 2010 in Library Park in Lake Geneva. It is the 3rd largest Alz Memory Walk in Wisconsin only behind Milwaukee and Madison.

Beginning with a mass group start at Champ\'s Sports Bar & Grill in the City of Lake Geneva it consists of nine designated stops at sponsoring taverns. Proceeding at your own pace the ride is approximately 21.5 miles and the \"rest\" stops are evenly spaced. Participating businesses are Champ\'s Fischer\'s Bar & Grill Shifters Bar and Food The Owl Tavern Gordy\'s Boat House Chuck\'s Lake Shore Inn Harpoon Willies Lucke\'s Cantina Mars Resort and Foley\'s Bar & Grill.
