HIV and Hepatitis C Screening and Testing Free to County Residents

HIV and Hepatitis C Screening and Testing Free to Walworth County Residents

Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Wednesday, August 17, 2016, 1:00 3:00 P.M. The Open Arms Free Clinic is partnering with the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin and will be offering residents of Walworth County free HIV and Hepatitis C screening and testing. You do not have to be a patient of the clinic and screening will be done on a first come first served basis. Results will be given within 20 minutes of screening. All screening will be conducted confidentially and in private exam rooms.

For many years this was largely an urban issue, however the rise of opioid addiction (i.e. heroin) along with growing poverty rates put more people in rural areas at risk. While everyone should know their “status”, individuals at risk for contracting HIV and Hepatitis C infection include injection drug users, men who have sex with men, and having unprotected sex.

Open Arms Free Clinic is located at: 205 East Commerce Court, Elkhorn, Wisconsin 53121 Phone: (262) 3791401
